Robert Fine

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Mr. Robert Fine is the Chief Executive Officer of AURELIUS FINANCE COMPANY LIMITED and a substantial investor in the firm. Previously, Mr. Fine was Executive Managing Director and Head of Mortgage Backed Securities/Asset Backed Securities & Rates at Gleacher & Company and its predecessor firm Broadpoint. Earlier in his career he founded Descap Securities, Inc., and held trading roles at Garvin Guy Butler, Smith Barney and Kidder, Peabody & Co. Mr. Fine received a BA in Economics and Finance from Adelphi University.

Robert Tirschwell

Head of Trading

Mr. Robert Tirschwell is the Head of Trading at AURELIUS FINANCE COMPANY LIMITED and a substantial investor in the firm. Previously, Mr. Tirschwell was Head of Trading at Gleacher & Company and Broadpoint, which he joined upon the sale of Descap to Broadpoint. Under his leadership, Descap evolved from a specified pool trading house into a diversified mortgage and asset-backed securities operation. Mr. Tirschwell holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Peter McNierney

Executive Managing Director

Mr. Peter McNierney is an Executive Managing Director of AURELIUS FINANCE COMPANY LIMITED and a member of the firm’s operating leadership. He previously served as President & Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Gleacher & Company, Inc., and earlier as CEO and Head of Investment Banking for Broadpoint. Over his more than two decades in investment banking, Mr. McNierney has been involved in several hundred equity and debt offerings, private placements and M&A advisory assignments across a range of sectors. He obtained his BA and JD/MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.

Alan Quasha

Chairman

Mr. Alan Quasha is Chairman of AURELIUS FINANCE COMPANY LIMITED and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s strategic direction. He is also a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Vanterra Capital and has served on numerous corporate and non-profit boards. Over his career, Mr. Quasha has invested in hundreds of companies in the U.S. and emerging markets, often in restructuring and transformational situations. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master of Laws from New York University School of Law and a Doctorate of Law from Harvard Law School.
